About the Team
We are a neighborhood swim team located in Thornton, Colorado in the Signal Creek Subdivision. Our team was founded in 1998 and has grown from less than a dozen to almost 100 swimmers! The purpose of the Signal Creek Swim Team is to introduce children to the sport of competitive swimming in an enjoyable yet challenging program. Our objectives are: 1) Teach and refine stroke technique and competitive starts and turns, 2) Build endurance, strength, and speed, and 3) Encourage dedication, responsibility, cooperation, and good sportsmanship. Most importantly, your child will have fun and will learn skills and participate in a sport that he or she can enjoy for the rest of their life.
We are looking to grow our team, especially with new, young swimmers. Consider the sport of swimming, where your child can learn a life long skill and be safe in the water. They will get plenty of exercise, make friends, and have a great time!
